How was the Physician Scientist Incubator valuable to you in your research and overall career goals?

The BWF Program provided invaluable opportunities to facilitate my development as a researcher during residency.  First, it allowed me to connect with peers outside of my department to engage in fruitful exchange of ideas and resources and increase the visibility of my work.  It further provided financial support to allow me to attend conferences, purchase laboratory supplies, and to extend my productivity during my upcoming fellowship by providing salary support for a laboratory technician.  Finally, it provided additional mentorship which helped guide my decisions for plans after residency.
