How was the Physician Scientist Incubator valuable to you in your research and overall career goals?

The BWF Incubator Program was extremely valuable in developing my research path, career goals, and personal goals. The career coaching was extremely helpful in delineating my career path, and identifying what my ideal position would look like post-fellowship, while balancing my personal goals with my family. Each of the BWF classes with the other scholars was informative and provided me with creative solutions to various questions I was attempting to answer in the laboratory. Additionally, the program gave me the opportunity to network and learn from other scholars across disciplines at UPMC, relationships which I continue to maintain as I move forward to a faculty position. Overall, I am extremely grateful to receive this opportunity, and I hope to stay involved as an alumni in the years to come.
