Research Summary

My research interest is in tumor immunology. I want to better understand the interaction between cancer and the immune system, specifically the ways in which cancer cells hide from and inhibit a patient's immune response. In this way, I hope to reverse this suppression of the immune system in order to allow for the patient's own immune cells to fight and clear their cancer.

Career Goals

My goal is to be a true physician-scientist in pediatric oncology, working at the bench to advance cancer immune therapy and bring new treatment options to the bedside. I will remain clinically involved with my patients while at the same time be hands-on with developing the treatments that will help to cure them. Watch the video below.
